Lacey Food Bank
commercial building for community resources
The Thurston County Food Bank would like to express our gratitude to Kaufman Construction and Development for the great work done on the Lacey Food Bank Farm Stand and helping us make our vision a reality. It was a great experience from the development of the Farm Stand concept through the completion of the construction process. We would highly recommend Kaufman Construction and Development to anyone with a design, build project.
We would specifically like to thank Mike Drennon for his commitment and dedication to the success of the project. Mike stayed on top of the project details making sure they were addressed before they became an issue. Mike understood immediately the unique aspects of working with a non-profit using federal and state funding,
We also appreciated the onsite construction team’s focus and professionalism during the construction process. The team was flexible, allowing completion of side projects at the site that were important to the Food Bank, such as installation of the site artwork and reconditioning of the irrigation well. The Lacey Food Bank Farm Stand opened as planned in 2019, allowing us to provide produce to over 180 people in the Lacey area.
“We are looking forward to continuing to work with Kaufman Development and Construction on the next phase of the Lacey Food Bank project, the Pantry building. With the planned opening of the Pantry building in 2021, we will be able to serve many more people in the Lacey area as well as Thurston County.” – Thurston County Food Bank
